HEAD TEACHER - MISS CHARLI (ASFD, ADA Qualified and Registered, GWT Registered)
Charli has been dancing for 20 years. She danced as a child with KC Dance and Drama school , Dorothy Cowie and the Elena De 5 School of Performing Arts (now ED5) in Sydney including performing as part of their first place winning troupes in the I Love Dance International Championships in New York. Charli has a completed the Australasian Dance Association's Jazz Addict and Broken Beat Teaching Certificates and she has completed 15 ATOD examinations and is an Associate Member of the Southern Federation of Dance. Charli is fully qualified and registered to teach the Australasian Dance Assocations Jazz & Hip Hop syllabui and the Glenn Wood Tap syllabus. Charli has performed, taught and choreographed dances as part of the I Love Dance International Dance Championships, State of Origin, NRL West Tigers Dance Spectacular, Funky Butts 2008 Dreamworld Tour, Wakakirri, Adult Learners Week, Concord Street Fair, Strathfield Spring Fair, Ryde Granny Smith Festival, Macquarie Boys Technology High School Fete, Ryde Eisteddfod, Inner West Eisteddfod, Touched by Olivia Foundations Family Fun Day, the Cancer Council's Canada Bay Relay For Life and Strathfield Council's Australia Day Celebrations. Charli continues to broaden and further her dance and education experiences and education by attending classes at Sydney Dance Company and regular Australasian Dance Association and Southern Federation Of Dance Conventions and Inservices in Sydney and Melbourne and is currently studying a Bachelor of Inclusive Education and Disabilities Studies to help ensure dance is accessible to as many students as possible.
INSTRUCTOR -MISS BECK (ADA Qualified & Registered)
Beck has been dancing for over fifteen years. She danced as a child at Dorothy Cowie Dance School and has danced with Funky Butts Modern Dance Centre since its inaugural year in 2005. Beck has completed her Australasian Dance Association's Jazz Addict and Broken Beat Teaching Certificates and is fully qualified and registered to teach these syllabui. Beck has taught dance and fitness in various gyms and with community colleges around Sydney. Beck has competed in various dance competitions and eisteddfods and won various awards and has a vast array of performance experience including Rosebank College Musicals, Rosebank College Dance Group (for which she acted as choreographer), Adult Learners Week, Cancer Council's Relay For Life, various fetes and concerts as well as award winning troupes and Wakakirri entries. Beck continues her dance training by attending regular syllabus workshops and inservices and regular dance training in a variety of styles.
INSTRUCTOR - MISS ELLIE (ADA Qualified & Registered)
Ellie has danced for over ten years attending classes in Jazz- Ballet, Hip Hop and Tap at a variety of dance schools including ED5, Belindas Art of Dance, Bodybeat and Dance Central. Ellie has completed her Australasian Dance Association's Broken Beat Teaching Certificate and is fully qualified and registered to teach this syllabus. Ellie joined Funky Butts in its inaugural year and has performed as part of the Funky Butts Performance Troupe with whom she has won a variety of awards. From a young age Ellie has been performing representing Mortlake Public School at various dance performances and competitions and performing in the Rosebank College Musicals 'The King and I' and 'Guys and Dolls'. Ellie has performed with the Rosebank College Junior Dance Group and been involved in teaching and choreographing for this group. Ellie has a vast array of performance experience including performing at various competitions, fetes, charity events, NRL game,s parties and also performing at Dream World Theme Park on the Gold Coast. Ellie continues her dance training by attending regular syllabus workshops and inservices and regular dance training in a variety of styles.
ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR - MISS CASSIE
Cassie has over ten years dance experience and has danced with Funky Butts since our inaugural year in 2005. Her love of dance and dedication make her a great assistant with younger students. Cassie has been part of many award winning dance troupes and has a plethora of performance experience including eisteddfods and local and interstate performances. Cassie is currently studying Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop and Tap at Funky Butts Modern Dance Centre and has aspirations to continue her training to qualified teacher level.
ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR - MISS DEANA
Deana has over ten years dance experience and has danced with Funky Butts since our inaugural year in 2005. Her fun attitude and love of dance aid her in her role as assistant to the younger classes. Deana has been part of many award winning dance troupes and has a plethora of performance experience including eisteddfods and local and interstate performances. Deana is currently studying Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop and Tap at Funky Butts Modern Dance Centre and has aspirations to continue her training to teacher qualification level. |
